who has led at every level.

Over the course of his career, Dr. Karim Abdel-Malek has served as a researcher, educator, research leader, entrepreneur, and founder. His work has included securing and managing large-scale research programs, directing multidisciplinary research organizations, creating innovative technologies, launching successful companies, and mentoring students, faculty, and research leaders across a wide range of disciplines.

Along the way, he learned that the most successful research programs are rarely built proposal by proposal. Instead, they are built through vision, leadership, relationships, execution, strategic positioning, and a relentless commitment to creating value.

Those lessons became the foundation for both the book The Research CEO: A Practical Guide to Building, Funding, and Scaling World-Class Research Programs and this website.
